Obituary For Joyce Elaine Smith

Joyce Elaine Smith, 78, of Florence, MO passed away Friday, May 11, 2018 at EW Thompson Health and Rehabilitation Center in Sedalia. She was born on August 13, 1939 in Sedalia the daughter of Forest and Beatrice (Huffman) Kelley, who preceded her in death.

On December 23, 1954 in Jefferson City, MO she was united in marriage to Carl Smith, who survives of the home.

She loved her children and grandchildren deeply an enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She faithfully read her Bible and church was her life. She was a long time member of Living Waters Assembly of God. She was always at peace and her personal ministry was visiting the sick and praying for them. She would travel to be with them no matter the distance.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her daughters Blinda Kelzer and Robin Dean, both of Sedalia; sister Norma Castellaneta (Fred) of Shawnee Mission, KS; her brother-in-law Jackie Smith of Sedalia; four grandchildren, John Dean, Timothy Ray Smith, Toni Jo Kelzer, and Sarah Bray; and three great-grandchildren, Rosemary Davis, Raylynn Smith, and Elaine Bray; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She will be greatly missed and we look forward to seeing her again in heaven.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by four brothers, Donald Kelley, Robert Kelley, Jerry Kelley and Junior Kelley; two sisters, Doris Taylor and Sharon Kelley.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia, MO with Rev. Bobby Kelley, officiating.

Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the chapel.

Burial will be at Smithton Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Shane Semkin, John Dean, Josh Bray, Sarah Bray, and Toni Kelzer.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Jimmy Swaggart Ministries in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
