Obituary For Joseph Lutjen

Joseph Leonard Lutjen, 59, of Sedalia passed away Sunday, November 12, 2017 at his home in Sedalia, MO. He was born on March 30, 1958 in Warsaw, MO the son of Earl S. Lutjen, Sr., who preceded his in death on January 17, 2012, and Shirley D. (Thomas) Lutjen Sr. who resides in Sedalia.

Joseph was a disabled veteran who served his country honorably in the United States Army for 10 years and achieved the rank 2nd Lt. Joe loved to cook and was well known at Kehde's BBQ for blowing the train whistle.

In addition to his mother he is survived by two sisters, Tina Roquet (Brett) of Sedalia and Dianna Beck (Stephen) of Sedalia; his good friend, Carlos Schoolman, III of Marshall, MO.; and his favorite four legged buddy of 16 years, Ruby of the home.

Celebration of life service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Rea Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dan Hankins officiating. Full military honors will be conducted by VFW Post #2591 and Missouri Army National Guard.

Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Cross Roads Hospice in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
