Obituary For Joseph Clifford

Joseph Kevin Clifford, 56, of Sedalia, MO, passed away Thursday, August 17, 2017 at his home. He was born on October 11, 1960 in Sedalia, the son of Donald Max and Mildred Virginia (Richardson) Clifford, who preceded him in death.

On October 30, 1983, in Mt. Jewett, PA, he was united in marriage to Paula R. Vega, who resides of the home.

Joe worked for E.W. Thompson State School for several years. He was a member of the Sedalia Seventh Day Adventist Church where he served as an Elder. He was a 1979 graduate of Smithton High School. Joe was very interested in the history of Sedalia and surrounding towns in Pettis County. He was an avid caller into KDRO Radio trivia contests. Joe especially enjoyed his children and grandchildren when they came home to visit from out of state.

In addition to his wife Paula, he is survived by two daughters, Lisa Monteer and her husband Shawn of Valdosta, GA and Ashley Ahnert and her husband Ricky of San Diego, CA; three grandchildren, Lindsay, Jace and Blair; two brothers, Tim Clifford and his wife Mary of Kingsville, MO and Tom Clifford and wife Barb of Cole Camp; a sister, Debbie Bentzin and her husband Bob of Otterville.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at the Sedalia Seventh Day Adventist Church with Pastor's Al Oetman and Seth Coridan officiating.

Family visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, August 21, 2017 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.

Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Ahnert, Shawn Monteer, Travis Monteer, Kevin Hoehns, Gary Burgess, and Jim Meusborn.

Honorary bearers will be Matt Dieckman, Patrick Clifford, Paul Ross, Calvin Meisenheimer and Jeff White.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Seventh Day Adventist Church in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
