Jonathan Barnes

Jonathan "Jay" Barnes, 57, of Sedalia, MO passed away Monday, October 26, 2020 at his home. He was born on May 30, 1963 in Kansas City, MO the son of Gale Oren Barnes and Connie Lee Collins.

Jay enjoyed to go hunting for anything and everything he could and loved to fish. He loved spending time with his Beagle dogs (his favorite breed) and especially time with his family.

Jay is survived by his mother, Connie Collins of Sedalia; a sister, Brenda Marshall of Hughesville; a brother, Joey Barnes (Michelle) of Virginia; a nephew, Derrick Marshall (Sarah) of Sedalia; a niece, Miranda Schwartz (Matt) of Hughesville; and significant other, Mary McCartney who resides of the home.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gale Barnes; his step-father, Dewey Collins; maternal and paternal grandparents.

A private family graveside memorial will be held at a later date.
