Obituary For Johnny L. Perkins

Johnny L. Perkins, 54, of Sedalia, MO, passed away at his home on Friday, September 15, 2023. He was born on September 2, 1969, in Cooper County, MO, the son of Glenn M. Perkins and Laura L. (Harms) Perkins, who preceded him in death.

Johnny was a 1987 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School. He worked at Waterloo Industries, MFA, Parkhurst Manufacturing, and most recently at Owens Corning (PC) in Sedalia. Johnny was a Ford enthusiast. He enjoyed attending family gatherings, cookouts, truck and tractor pulls, hiking, and being outdoors. Johnny especially enjoyed the company of his fur baby "Taz."

Survivors include a daughter, Shelby Perkins of Hughesville; a brother, Paul Perkins (Sheila) of Otterville; a sister, Peggy Gamber (Troy) of Sedalia; two grandchildren, Lucas and Emelia; his step-mother, Carol Perkins, of Sedalia; three nephews, Travis Perkins, Tyler Perkins, and Trace Garrison; three great-nephews and a great-niece; two aunts, Shirley Harmon and Joyce Dodson.

In addition to his parents, Johnny was preceded in death by his grandparents, aunts, and uncles.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 23, 2023, at Rea Funeral Chapel with Pastor Duane Duchesne officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the chapel.

The inurnment will be in Highland Sacred Gardens Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Sedalia Animal Shelter in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
