Obituary For John R. Butterbaugh

John R Butterbaugh, 84, of Springdale AR, formerly of Sedalia, passed away Tuesday, May 11th, 2021 at UAMS Medical Center in Little Rock, AR, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born December 2, 1936, in rural Pettis County, the son of Richard Emmitt and Stella (Spratley) Butterbaugh, who preceded him in death.

He transported bait to several bait shops in Missouri. In his later years, he did metal reclaiming. He loved being in his truck visiting different places and states. But most of all he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. John will be missed by so many.

John is survived by four daughters, Janie Nease (Earl), Penny Barnett (Dewayne), Lisa Allee (Tim), Misty Shoemaker (Jack); three sons Orville McKeown (Jessica), David Butterbaugh (Maggie), Thomas Butterbaugh (Kelcie); 19 Grandchildren, Donna Nease, Shawn Butterbaugh (Liz), Angela, Mikenzie and Treshaun Allee, Corissa Butts (Josh), Jessica Taylor, Meghan Davis (Chris), Coleta Tull Winkler ( Benson), Joeseph Barnett, Cassie and Jared Bilke, Jayden and Ryler McKeown, Merideth, Karleigh, and Dawson Butterbaugh, Delta, Aleigha and Layne Shoemaker; 33 Great-grandchildren; 5 Great-Great Grandchildren; and a sister Myrtle Priesmeyer.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by a daughter Rhonda Miller; two grandsons, James Nease Sr., Mitchell Allee; a great-granddaughter Lindsey Winkler; a brother David Butterbaugh; and two sisters Helen Butterbaugh and Stella Alline Hutcheson.

Graveside services will be held at Hopewell Cemetery on Monday, May 24, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Rusty Thomas Officiating.
