John Law

John Robert Law, 20, of La Monte, MO, passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at his home. He was born on November 9, 1994 in Marshall, MO, a son of Harley Ray and Monica T. (Huelsmann) Law, who survive of the home. John loved spending time with his nephews. He could always be counted on to help out when it was needed. He especially enjoyed helping his dad work at the La Monte Senior Housing. He also enjoyed fishing, tending to his pet ducks, and shooting pool. John was a member of La Monte Christian Church. He was also an active member of the United States Army National Guard. Besides his parents, he is survived by one brother, Eric James Law (Angela) of Colorado Springs, CO; one sister, Jessica Rae Beck (Anthony) of Sedalia; three nephews, Ethan and Miles Law of Colorado Springs, CO, and Arieus Beck of Sedalia; his maternal grandmother, Kathleen Huelsmann of Breese, IL; and his paternal grandfather, Ray Scaggs of Stover, MO. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Robert Huelsmann; and his paternal grandparents, Harley R. Law, Sr. and Carol L. Scaggs. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
