John Howard Shull, 75, of Houstonia, MO, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at University Hospital, Columbia, MO. On November 20, 1946, he was born in Sedalia, the son of John E Shull, who preceded him in death, and Lennie Riddle (Howard) Shull, who resides in Sedalia.
John was united in marriage to Mary Rehmer, who resides in Hughesville.
John attended elementary school at Georgetown schoolhouse and was a 1965 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School. He graduated from the Plumbers Local #8 apprenticeship program to be a journeyman plumber. He worked on numerous venues and projects throughout Kansas City during his 40 years as an industrial plumber. John was an avid collector of cooking gadgets. In addition, he enjoyed wood carving, fishing, cooking, BBQing, hunting, bird watching, canoeing, camping, and he especially loved spending time with family and friends.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by two children, John F. Shull of Sedalia, MO, Wendy Lynn Fairfax (Tom) of Cole Camp, MO; and four grandchildren, Katlynn McKee of IL, Mark A Pulliam (Rebecca) of Lakehurst, NJ, Jakob A Shull (Hayley) of Sedalia, and Hannah M Shull of Sedalia; six great-grandchildren; and a brother, Jack Shull of Columbia, MO.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother Ralph Shull.
A celebration of life gathering of family and friends will be announced at a later date.
Family and friends may make memorial contributions to the Missouri Department of Conservation in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
