Obituary For Joe Fisher

Joe Bill Fisher Jr., 63, of Sedalia, passed away Friday, September 15, 2017 at his home. He was born on June 20, 1954 in Sedalia, Missouri, the son of Joe and Edna (Lane) Fisher, who preceded him in death.

Joe Fisher, who went by Jody to family and friends, grew up in Sedalia and enjoyed playing school yard ball with his friends when he was young. He graduated Smith-Cotton High School in 1973. Then went to Southwest Baptist University located in Bolivar, Missouri where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Church Recreation in 1977. He was the owner operator of Top Hat Chimney Sweep located here in Sedalia. He enjoyed playing slow pitch softball, deer hunting, basket weaving, watching westerns, listening to John Denver, traveling to various destinations and was an avid Cardinals baseball fan.

Survivors include a son Josh Fisher (Angela); and a daughter Sarah Fellows (John) all of Sedalia; and a grandson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Connie Laufenberg.

A memorial graveside service and burial will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, September 22nd at Crown Hill Cemetery with Pastor Glenn Sparks officiating.
