Joanna "Jodi Or Jo Jo" Blundell

JoAnna "Jodi or Jo Jo" Blundell passed away on Friday, August 25, 2023, at Warsaw Health and Rehab. She was born in Omaha, NE, to Elmer Irving Jespersen and Betty Jean (Jacobson) Jespersen on September 5, 1961.

She had a rough start as a child and had to wear a brace for the first 18 months of her life. She overcame that and lived a normal life as a child, chasing her horses around and eventually graduating high school from Northwest High in Omaha in 1979. Jodi had many friends during her high school years and started working at an early age. She met the love of her life, survivor, and husband, Jim Blundell. They were married on Halloween 1981. They celebrated their 40th Anniversary in 2021. Jodi fought valiantly from MS for over 30 years and was finally consumed by cancer.

Jodi is also survived by her sister, Jeanna Baker (Dale), and two nephews, Jason and Joshua Baker, all of Omaha, NE.

Jodi was preceded in death by her parents; her father-in-law, Harry L. Blundell; mother-in-law, Dorotha Blundell; and her sister-in-law, Kathleen (Blundell) McCubbins.

Jodi's wishes were to be cremated. No formal services will be held at this time.
