Joann Hawkins

Joann Hawkins, 71, of Sedalia passed away Monday, March 3, 2014 at her home. She was born on June 23, 1942 in Arrow Rock, MO the daughter of Nathaniel and Loraine (Harvey) Hawkins.

She is survived by four children, Michael Hawkins and his wife Peggy of Sedalia, Vonda Reece and her husband Kenneth of Kansas City, Roy Hawkins of Norman, OK and Maxine Poindexter and her husband Gordon of Sedalia.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by three sons, Ricky, Eugene and Burt Hawkins.

A Going Home Celebration will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Quinn Chapel AME Church, Sedalia with Rev. Nicole Pledger officiating.

Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery, Sedalia.
