Obituary For Joan Grant

Joan Grant, 78, of Sedalia passed away Saturday, November 20, 2021, at her home. She was born on February 27, 1943 in Florence, MO the daughter of George Mahlon and Olga Louise (Bremer) Hotsenpiller, who preceded her in death.

Joan worked as a teachers aid and bus driver for the E.W. Thompson State School in Sedalia for over 20 years. She enjoyed watching the RFD Country Music Channel. Joan loved working jig saw puzzles and crossword puzzles. Her favorite past time was spending time with her grand dog "Gator Boy".

Survivors include a son, Barry Kabler (Deena) of Sedalia; a daughter, Melissa Kabler (Tom Winfrey) of Mathis, TX; four grandchildren, Kasey, Aimee, Clint, and Lasey; four great grandchildren, Peyton, McKennah, Jayce, and Kooper; a brother, Junior Hotsenpiller (Mary) of Union, MO.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Judith Allen; and a brother-in-law Kenneth Allen.

A celebration of life gathering of family and friends will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.

Arrangements are under the direction of Rea Funeral Chapel.
