Obituary For Jimmie Walton

Jimmie Lee Walton, 68, of Windsor, MO, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, April 17, 2017 at his home. He was born on December 23, 1948 in Gallatin, MO, the son of Chester and Esther (Tarwarter) Walton, who preceded him in death.

On January 26, 1980 in Clinton, MO, he was united in marriage to Wanda L. Mullins, who resides of the home.

Jim was a member of the Harmony Baptist Church, Windsor, and the Green Ridge American Legion Post 491. He worked for Rival Manufacturing in Clinton, MFA Fertilizer Plant in Windsor, and Hayes-Lemerz in Sedalia, retiring in 2006. He served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

Jim enjoyed going out to his shop working on vehicles and just piddling around. He loved to mow, and playing jokes and pranks on friends and family. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife Wanda, he is also survived by two sons, Nick Walton (Christena) of Green Ridge and Frank Walton (Laurie) of Lone Jack, MO; a daughter, Alisha Ramirez (Enrique) of Sedalia; eight grandchildren, Enrique "Little Ricky", Brooklyn, Gabriela, Julie, Bella, Paislee, EmmaLou and Autumn; and a niece Diane Peppard of Beatrice, NE.

In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his pet companions, Rusty and Rocky.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 21, 2017 at Rea Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dan Hankins officiating.

Visitation will be from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 20, 2017 at the Chapel.

Burial will be at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, with full military honors conducted by Missouri Army National Guard and Sedalia VFW Post #2591.

Pallbearers will be Henry Riddle, Randy Peek, Enrique Ramirez, Mike Mullins, Dennis Mullins, Phil Yankee and "Little Ricky".

Honorary bearers will be granddaughters, Autumn, Julie, Bella, Paislee, EmmaLou, Brooklyn and Gabriela.

Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
