Jessie Eric Erfurth, 39, of Sedalia, MO, passed away on Friday, August 30, 2024, in Sedalia. He was born on November 4, 1984, in Sedalia, the son of Robert Erfurth and Carylon (Franken) Erfurth, who resides in Kansas City, MO.
Jessie was a 2002 graduate of Smithton High School. He attended State Fair Community College for two years and transferred to the University of Missouri for two years. After college, he worked as a meter reader for Central Missouri Electric. He also worked for Advanced Building Supply as a delivery driver. Later, he went to work on the family farm to help his father. He owned and operated Jessie's Lawn Care Services for a couple of years. Jessie enjoyed going to the lake, fishing, boating, kayaking, barbeque grilling, and being outdoors with all his nieces and nephews. Most of all, Jessie enjoyed celebrating the 4th of July holiday with his family and friends, shooting big fireworks.
In addition to his parents, Jessie is survived by a brother, Robert Paul Franken of Sedalia; two half-sisters, Sheila Carwile of Sedalia and Jamie Carwile of Jefferson City; a step-father Frank Robert McDernant the fourth, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Bill and Nadine Young, and paternal grandparents, Paul and Loraine Erfurth.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 6, 2024, at Rea Funeral Chapel with Pastor David Bannister officiating.
Honorary bearers will be Tim Wittman, Jarod Owen, Robbie Franken, Noah Franken, Graham Freeman, Tyler Klein, Joey Klein, and Kevin Klein.
Arrangements are under the direction of Rea Funeral Chapel.
