Obituary For Jerry Smith

Jerry Dean Smith, 60, of Knob Noster, MO, passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at his home. He was born November 4, 1957 in Sioux Falls, S.D., the son of Maurice and Esther (Holt) Smith who preceded in death.

Jerry loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a sports fan and was always cheering on the Raiders. His favorite cartoon character was Buzz Lightyear, earning him the nickname "Buzz". He really enjoyed playing baseball and softball and teaching it to his kids and grandkids. Jerry always said his proudest moment was watching his two sons walk across the stage at their high school graduations.

Besides his mother and father, he was preceded in death by his Stepfather, Vernon "Cap" Ditton, and his sister, Connie Gifford. He is survived by his two sons, Wade and Nick Smith and step-daughter Aimee Jackson; three grandchildren, Masun, Abbey and Harly; and ex-wife Sue Arnold Smith; as well as many loving friends.
