Janna Michaela McQueen, 51, of Sedalia, Sedalia passed away November 16, 2018 in Sedalia. She was born on September 12, 1967 in Sedalia, the daughter of James and Sharon (Mathews) Sawford, who reside in Otterville, MO.
On November 20, 1987 in Jefferson City, MO she was united in marriage to Ricky Dean McQueen, who resides in the home.
Janna was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Sedalia. She worked for The Bank of Otterville as a teller. She enjoyed raising chickens and caring for her many pets. She loved baking bread, sewing, and learning how to make homemade soap, detergents and other things. Her passion was spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband, survivors include her two daughters, Carrie Brown (Nathaniel) of Smithton, MO and Brittany McQueen of Sedalia; three brothers, Thomas Sawford (Ranell), Jason Sawford (Danielle), and Zachary Sawford (Jessica) all of Smithton; two sisters, Tamara Lemons of Sedalia, and Courtney Staus (Chad) of Smithton; three grandchildren, Ava, Finley, and Jonathan Brown; and multiple animal grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Raymond and Willardine Mathews; paternal grandparents, William and Blanche Sawford; and a niece, Sarah Sawford Lemons.
A celebration of life gathering of family and friends will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Rea Funeral Chapel.
A private graveside service and burial will be at Smithton Cemetery with Pastor Jeremy Freeman officiating.
Urn bearers will be her brothers, Thomas, Jason, and Zachary Sawford.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Sedalia Animal Shelter in care of the funeral chapel.
