James Wayne Shull, 77, of Stover, MO, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at University Hospital in Columbia, MO. He was born on August 31, 1938 in Sedalia, the son of George and Edna Paxton Shull, who preceded him in death.
On November 19, 1963 in Sedalia he was united in marriage to Jeanetta Buckley, who preceded him in death on January 26, 2004.
Jim loved being at the lake, going fishing, hunting, and boating. He was always very generous to friends and family, eager to help in anyway he could.
He is survived by two sons, Vernon Wayne Shull of Stover and Jim Warner Shull of Columbia; two daughter, Tami Brooks (Keith) of Sedalia and Sherri Ashby of Biloxi, MS; four brothers, Tommy Shull (Chris) of Sedalia, Jerry Dale Shull (Mary Alice) of Smithton, MO, Dennis Shull (Kay) of La Monte, MO, and Donnie Brownfield (Sue) of Sedalia; eight grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Besides his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by his step dad, Vernon Brownfield and a brother, Ronnie Brownfield.
Memorial services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, June 10, 2016 at Rea Funeral Chapel with Rev. David Owens officiating.
A family visitation will start at 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
