Obituary For James Joseph Bus

James Joseph Bus, 87, of Sedalia passed away Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Rest Haven Convalescent Home in Sedalia. He was born on September 16, 1930 in Pettis County, MO the son of Rudolph W. and Estella (Whiteman) Bus, who preceded him in death.

Jim was a 1950 graduate of Sacred Heart High School. He worked for the Missouri Pacific Railroad out of high school. He then enter into the Army Air Corp. during the Korean War until December 1953. After his honorable service to his country, Jim attended Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg for two years. He worked for the City of Sedalia in the Maintenance department until retiring. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sedalia. Jim was well known as being an avid sports fan of all kinds and a Sedalia history buff.

He is survived by his close friend Jim Fall, of Sedalia.

A mass of christian burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 30, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Mark Miller, officiating.

There will be no visitation time.

Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery with full military honors conducted by Sedalia VFW Post #2591 and Whiteman Air Force Base Honor Guard.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Fall, Bill Hodges, Leo Dick, Ray Goodwin, and Tom Darrah.

Memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Catholic Church or Sacred Heart School Foundation in care of Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia..
