Obituary For James Hepburn

James "Buck" Terrill Hepburn, 84, of Sedalia passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at his home in Sedalia. He was born on December 16, 1931 in Moberly, Missouri the son of James Wood and Margaret Edna (Coffey) Hepburn, who preceded him in death.

On January 11, 1959, at East Sedalia Baptist Church, Sedalia he was united in marriage to Kathryn "Kay" Irene McMullin, who survives of the home.

Buck was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He worked many years as a route salesman and a business agent for the Teamsters Union and retired from the U.S. postal service in 1992. He was a 1949 graduate of Moberly High School and served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy from 1950 until 1960 during the Korean Conflict.

Buck enjoyed sports, especially college basketball. He love running beagles, coyote hunting, and fishing. He lived and loved life to its fullest, always teasing and joking with his family and friends.

Besides his wife, Kay, he is survived by a son Kevin Ray Hepburn and wife Marva of Sedalia and a daughter, Julie Beth Young and husband Tim of Sedalia; six grandchildren Danny, Kara (Jason), Courtney (Marc), David, Joshua (Corissa), and Jeremy; and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 14, 2016 at Calvary Baptist Church, Sedalia with Rev. Dr. Don Satterwhite officiating.

Family visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will be at Potter Cemetery with full military honors conducted by Sedalia VFW Post #2591.

Pallbearers will be Pete Siegel, Albert Arnold, Jr., Lloyd Closser, Don Wilson, Kelly Birdsong and Dan Birdsong.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Benton County Hospice in care of Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.
