James Harlan Brown, 73, of Sedalia, MO passed away Friday, May 25, 2018 at his home. He was born on August 7, 1944 in Sedalia, the son of Carl and Mildred (Burton) Brown, who preceded him in death.
On June 1, 1963 in Sedalia, he was united in marriage to Sharon Prall, who survives of the home.
He owned several businesses in Sedalia, including James H. Brown Construction Company, The Lighthouse, and 10th and Thompson Car Wash. His world revolved around his grandchildren. He looked forward to spending time with them and bragged about them to everyone. James will be dearly missed.
Besides his wife, survivors include two sons, John Brown of Sedalia and Brian Brown (Karla) of Kansas City; five grandchildren, Rachel Brown, Fred Brown, and Collin Brown, all of Sedalia, Noah Brown and Alexavier Brown both of Kansas City; and his brother-in-law, Carl Prall (Betty) of Branson.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Bob, Richard and Donnie Brown.
A private family inurnment will take place at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Crossroads Hospice in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Rea Funeral Chapel.
