Obituary For Jack Howell

Jack Reginald Howell, 82, of Sedalia passed away Thursday, June 30, 2016 at his home in Sedalia. He was born on March 29, 1934 in Carthage, MO a son of Charles and Ladye (Beckham) Howell, who preceded him in death.

On June 6, 1954, in Carthage, MO he was united in marriage to JoAnn Marie Greninger, who survives of the home.

Jack served his country honorably in the United States Air Force from 1951 until 1959 during the Korean War. He had two tours of duty in England and attained the rank of Tech Sergeant. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where he served as emeritus deacon and taught several Sunday school classes. Jack was an avid Kansas City Chiefs and Royals fan and especially enjoyed spending time with his family.

Besides his wife JoAnn, he is also survived by five children, Jackie Lynn Semon (Steve) of Sedalia, Mark Reginald Howell ( Renie) Clinton, Kelly Jo Hargrave (Raymon) of Sedalia, Steven Timothy Howell (Elizabeth) of Sedalia and Teri Marie Spear (Glen) of Sedalia; 21 grandchildren, Stefani, Jana, Reita, Kurtis, Clinton, Caleb, Heather, Christopher, Matthew, Daniel, Marie, John, Abigail, Luke, Sarah, Melanie, Amanda, Tyler, Timothy, Zachary, and Andrew; 17 great grandchildren; three brothers, Richard, George and Phillip Howell; and a sister, Barbara K. Musgrove.

Besides his parents he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Meredith and Frank Howell.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Ted Francis officiating, Rev. Don Satterwhite and Pastor Michael Morgan assisting.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at Calvary Baptist Church.

Burial will be at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, MO. with the Whiteman Air Force Base Honor Guard conducting full military honors.

Pallbearers will be Lt. John Hargrave, Pvt. Tyler Spear, Chris Hargrave, Kurt Howell, Matt Hargrave, Clint Howell, Daniel Hargrave and Caleb Howell.

Honorary bearers will be Luke Hargrave, Tim, Zachary and Andrew Spear.

The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Cross Roads Hospice in care of Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.
