Obituary For Irene Dale

Irene Dale, 90, of Hughesville, MO passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Sylvia G. Thompson Residence Center in Sedalia, MO. She was born on June 23, 1930 in Mitchell, SD the daughter of Lester Vail and Sudie (Lunn) Vail, who preceded her in death.

On July 2, 1949 in Mountain Grove, MO she was united in marriage to James Dale, who preceded her in death on August 29, 2003.

Irene enjoyed playing cards every weekday morning with her many friends. She enjoyed buying and fixing up old houses. In her later years, she spent most of her time sitting on her front porch with her wonderful neighbors James and Ruth Ann Mullins and Janice Dollinger. Irene especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include three children, Gary Dale of Hughesville, Sally Meyer of Hughesville, and Brad Dale of Sedalia; nine grandchildren, Jenni, Heather, Dustin, Blake, Shiana, Jeff, Dennis, Randall, and Steven; twelve great grandchildren; a brother, Dick Vail; and a sister, Edna Harvey.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Dale; and a granddaughter, Joni Meyer.

A graveside service and burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 22, 2021 at High Point Cemetery Hughesville, MO with Robert Meyer officiating.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Meyer, Blake Meyer, Steven Dale, Jeff Dale, Logan Pierce, Mason Pierce, and Travis Teter.

Memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Perks in care of Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.
