Henry Franklin Harris, 68, of Sedalia, MO, passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at his residence in Sedalia. He was born on July 20, 1956, in Sedalia, the son of Alonzo Monroe Harris Jr. and Ada Lorrene Williams, who preceded him in death.
Henry graduated from Smith-Cotton High School in 1974. He later attended Central Missouri State and earned his Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. He worked for Pepsi for twelve years and then as a security officer for Guardsman Security, Securitas, and Tyson Foods. He was a Baptist minister for several years. His passion, however, was feline control; he loved cats. He was a people person who was always willing to lend a helping hand.
Henry is survived by a brother, Alonzo Monroe Harris III of Sedalia, his best friend, Vida Grandfield of Sedalia, and his three cats, Racer, Mr. Max, and Smokey.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Alpha Marie Ford.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Sedalia Animal Shelter in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
