Heather Dawn "Hop" Belt, 40, of Syracuse, MO, passed away at her home on Friday, May 6, 2022. On April 11, 1982, she was born in Sedalia, the daughter of Donald Ray Belt of Syracuse and Donna Jane Hughes of Sedalia.
Heather attained a degree in massage therapy in 2002 from Metro Business College in Jefferson City, MO. She enjoyed doing for others, regardless of what it was. Heather loved her daughter Kendra, her brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, and all of her nieces and nephews so much. There's nothing in the world she wouldn't do for any of them. Heather liked cooking, fishing, kayaking, camping, and mushroom hunting with her brother and Dad. She enjoyed spending time with her family, doing crafts, watching scary movies, and was always the life of the party.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by a daughter, Kendra Lee Brandkamp, of Sedalia; three brothers, James Adam Belt (Christin Petree) of Syracuse, Paul Eugene Neel (KaCie) of Otterville, and Donald Ray Belt, Jr. of Syracuse; two sisters, LaCrista Jane Barnett (Jamie) of Sedalia and Samantha Ann Gamber (Furlon) of Sedalia; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Oliver James and Byrdia Lee Hughes; Paternal grandparents, Roy Adams and Mildred Faye Belt; a niece RaBeka Phillips and a nephew Blaze Austin Belt; and an aunt Debra Adkinson.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 13, 2022, at Rea Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Ed Spencer officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the chapel.
Honorary bearers will be LaCresha Shull, Nick Steck, Blane Belt, Gaige Belt, Amanda Gamber, Krista Waltemeyer, Jakob Neel, Amber Neel, Jacob Belt, and Garrett Belt.
Friends may make memorial contributions to the family in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
Arrangements are under the direction of Rea Funeral Chapel.
