Greg Albert Butler, 36, of Sedalia passed away Saturday, June 17, 2017 as a result of a vehicle accident. He was born on December 23, 1980 in Lexington, MO the son of Randy Eugene Butler, who preceded him in death and Debora Jean (Carrender) Walker, who resides in Sedalia.
He worked for Jackson Concrete Designs as a concrete finisher. Greg enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, trapping, listening to country music, restoring old cars, hanging out with his friends and taking care of his animals. Greg received the Lord into his heart and was baptized at the age of 10 years old.
In addition to his mother Debbie, he is survived by his step father, Mitchell D. Walker of Sedalia; a sister, Jody Vaca and her husband Louie, Jr. of Lee's Summit, MO; a step sister, Jessica Hofheins and her husband Patrick of Sedalia; a step brother, Jeff Walker of Blue Springs, MO; maternal grandmother, Joan Ruth Carrender of Sweet Springs, MO; a step grandmother, Mildred L. Walker of Sedalia; a niece Penelope L. Vaca; a nephew, Samuel Russell Walker; his companion, Angie Eichholz and her children, Sydney and Sam Eichholz; and his best friends, Chris Treece and Mick Merriott.
In addition to his father Randy, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Lester Eugene Carrender; and his paternal grandparents, James and Doris Butler.
A Celebration of Life gathering of family and friends will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday June 21, 2017 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.
Burial will be at Lexington Memorial Gardens Cemetery, in Lexington, MO at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to U. S. Army Corp of Engineers for the Kansas City District, in care of Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.
