Obituary For Gordon Booth

Gordon Ross Booth, 60, of Nelson, MO passed away September 19, 2016 at University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia. He was born on September 28, 1955 in Bakersfield, CA the son of T.W. and Pauline Booth, who preceded him in death.

On May 28, 1977 he was united in marriage to Adrianne Phillips.

For 24 years he served as Maintenance Supervisor at Minter Field Airport in Shafter, CA. His dream was to be a pilot. Working at a WWII airfield with a Warbird Museum was the way he kept his dream alive. He was a fantastic carpenter and very skilled in everything he attempted. He was responsible for building many structures at the airport, including the restaurant and the board room. His hobbies included building remote controlled aircraft, carpentry and mechanics. He had a great love for music, old movies and westerns. He was devoted to his wife, family and church.

Besides his wife he is survived by his two sons Nicholaus Booth, of Nelson, MO and Christopher Booth, of Bakersfield, CA, two granddaughters, Analyse and Avalyn Harper of Gilman, IA, one brother Harvey Booth (Sue) of Bakersfield, CA and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter Amy Harper, his sister Linda Guadignin and his brother Larry Booth.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Blackwater Church of Christ on Friday, September 23, 2016 at 10:00 am with Minister Chris Harper officiating.

Honorary bearers will be Nicholaus and Christopher Booth and Brandon Phillips.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Rea Funeral Chapel or Blackwater Church of Christ.
