Obituary For Glen Eldon Wissman, Jr.

Glen Eldon Wissman Jr., 71, of Sedalia, MO passed away Saturday, May 1, 2021, at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia. He was born on May 18, 1949, in Sedalia, the son of Glen Eldon Wissman Sr. and Vivian Murlene (Walton) Wissman, who preceded him in death.

Glen was a 1967 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School. He then graduated from Central Missouri State University in 1973 with a Bachelor's Degree. Glen worked for several companies as a Draftsman. He retired from Hawker Manufacturing in Warrensburg, MO. In his younger years, he enjoyed going hunting and fishing. Glen loved using his metal detector to look for coins and other treasures. He also enjoyed traveling out west to pan for gold. More than anything, he loved all of his nieces, nephews and adored his great-nieces and nephews.

Survivors include two brothers, David Wissman and Dan Wissman (Debbie) all of Sedalia; a sister, Sue Foster of Lee's Summit, MO; two nieces and two nephews; six great-nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a great-nephew.

A graveside service and burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 6, 2021, at Highland Sacred Gardens, Sedalia, with Pastor Jeremiah Greever officiating.

Pallbearers will be Danny Wissman, Derrick Wissman, Bart Wissman, Kirk Wissman, David Wissman, and Dan Wissman.

In lieu of plants and flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Heart Association or The American Kidney Foundation in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
