Georgia Wallace Hunsaker, 74, of Sedalia, MO, passed away on Monday, July 15, 2024, at her home in Sedalia. She was born on October 18, 1949 in Georgetown, MO the daughter of Forrest H. Wagner and Julia L. (Wallace) Wagner, who preceded her in death.
On August 28, 1971, in Sedalia, MO, she was united in marriage to Charles Hunsaker, who resides in the home.
Georgia was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Parish Sacred Heart Church. Georgia was a 1967 graduate of Sacred Heart High School. She attended State Fair Community College and worked as a tax preparer at Cusicks Tax Service. Later in life, Georgia enjoyed visiting and serving customers with her sisters at The Wheel Inn. She loved going on vacations with her family, going out to eat, and especially loved spending time with her granddaughter.
In addition to her husband, Georgia is survived by a son, Shawn Hunsaker (Shannon) of Sedalia; a granddaughter, Adelynn Hunsaker of Sedalia; a sister, Cathy Wagner of Sedalia; a brother, Steve Wagner (Lynn) of Sedalia; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Georgia was preceded in death by six siblings, Dorothy Gudenschwager, Margie Opfer, Nancy Barklage, Judy Clark, Patrick Wagner, and James Wagner.
A prayer service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at Rea Funeral Chapel with Father Brad Berhorst officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
