George Henry Ditzfeld

George Henry Ditzfeld, 90, of Sedalia, MO passed away Monday, May 31, 2021, in Sedalia. He was born on February 6, 1931 in Morgan County, MO the son of John W. Ditzfeld Sr. and Erma I. (McDowell) Ditzfeld, who preceded him in death.

On April 20, 1951, in Sedalia he was united in marriage to Birdie L. Kincade, who preceded him in death on September 24, 2012.

George served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. George worked as an over the road truck driver for many years until retiring. After retiring, he filled his time raising cattle and flipping houses which was a lifelong passion of his. George was currently in the middle of over seeing a house remodel project with his friend and partner Terry Liebl.

Survivors include three sisters, Viola May, Norma Johnson both of Sedalia and Bonnie Hrdlicka (Robert) of Independence, MO; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and two cousins.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Douglas Ditzfeld; four brothers, John Ditzfeld, Jr., Victor Ditzfeld, Harry Dietzfield, and Bobbie Ditzfeld; four sisters, Bernice Ash, Ruth Bass Soptic, Dora Parker, and Carolyn Woods; and his furry four legged companion "Sassy".

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, June 4, 2021 at Rea Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jim Downing officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral chapel.

Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery, Sedalia, MO.

Pallbearers will be Eddie Heimericks, Terry Liebl, Robert Hrdlicka, Tom May, Richard Parker Jr., and Mike Johnson.
