On May 12, 1966, Rae married George David Leafty in Salt Lake City, UT. Together they built a life filled with love and devotion until his passing on November 8, 2011.

Rae is survived by her children: Corey Leafty of Lava Hot Springs, ID; Carla Leafty of Santa Rosa, CA; Cordell Leafty (Stefanie) of Sedalia; and Marc Leafty (Courtney) of Hampton, VA. She was a proud grandmother to five grandchildren-Korben, Julieah, Jaydyn, Kenzer, and Kaleb-and a cherished great-grandmother to Kimberlynn. She also leaves behind her brothers, Gary Weaver (Sandy) of South Weber, UT, and Ron Weaver (Sharon) of Pocatello, ID, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Rae was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a brother, Warren Weaver, and a sister-in-law, Diane Weaver.
