Gary Juan Canaday

Gary Juan Canaday, 77, of La Monte, MO, passed away Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Fair View Nursing Home in Sedalia. He was born on October 13, 1940.

On August 30, 1997 in La Monte, he was united in marriage to Loletta Suzanne Comfort, who passed away January 23, 2016. They spent their twenty-first wedding anniversary together in Heaven.

Gary never knew a stranger. He liked to talk, tinker with computers, and he loved his dog Duke. He liked to buy the kids presents for Christmas. He was devoted to his late wife and affectionately called her "Baby Precious."

Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Comfort; three sons, Robert, Louis and John Comfort all of La Monte; six grandchildren, Trevor, Ashley, Emily, Ambar, John Jr., and Samual; and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at La Monte Christian Church, La Monte, MO with Pastor Alan Morse officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will be at La Monte Cemetery.

Pallbearers will Robert and John Comfort, Jake Noel, Brad, Luke, and Sam Kindle.

Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons and great grandsons, Jacob Noel, Kaden Noel, Trevor Turley, John Comfort Jr., Samual Comfort, Dustin Sattler, and the little princess Katie Noel.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
