Gail Pettis

Gail Sue Poort Pettis, 76, of Sedalia, MO, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at Rest Haven Convalescent Home in Sedalia. She was born on June 6, 1940 in Leeton, MO, the daughter of Hugh and Neva Poort, who preceded her in death.

She was married to George Pettis, who also preceded her in death.

Gail dedicated her life to her family, her faith, and helping others. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and singing with brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her children, Dale Hunt of Warrensburg, Donald Hunt of Sedalia, Vicki Purvis of Sedalia, Pamela Crum of St. Joesph, Deborah Love of Colorado, and Rick Pettis of Sedalia; and many grandchildren.

She was preceded in death two sons, Stevie and Tommy Dean Pettis.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, April 15, 2017 at the Community of Christ Church, 2000 S. Ingram, Sedalia, MO.
