Frederick Allen Shapley

Frederick Allen Shapley, 53, of Sedalia, MO passed away Saturday, August 7, 2021, at his home. He was born on June 13, 1968, in Sedalia, the son of Charles Paul Frederick Shapley, who preceded him in death, and Betty Lou (Collins) Shapley, who resides in Sedalia.

On May 8, 1993, in Sedalia, he was united in marriage to Katrina L. Coleman, who resides in the home.

Fred was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Sedalia. He worked for his dad in the family business (Shapley's) as a tow truck driver and auto body mechanic. Fred also worked as a route salesman. He enjoyed going hunting and being in the outdoors. Fred especially loved being a husband, father, and papa.

In addition to his wife and mother he is survived by two sons, Kaleb Shapley (Bryanna) of Sedalia, and Emmett Shapley of the home; a daughter, Chloe Shapley of the home; two grandchildren, Dahlia and Charles; two brothers, Charles Shapley (April) of Sedalia and Jonathan Shapley (Jennifer) of Smithton, MO; three sisters, Mara Talon (Justin) of Kailua, Honolulu, HI, Deborah Gresham of Sedalia, MO, and Carolyn Johnson of Joplin, MO; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 12, 2021, at the Church Of Jesus Christ LDS with Bishop Evan Stout officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

The burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery, Sedalia, MO.

Pallbearers will be Kaleb Shapley, Emmett Shapley, Charles Shapley, Jonathan Shapley, Adam Shapley, and Paul Beard.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
