Franklin Ray Lindsey, 79, of Hughesville, MO passed away Monday, November 20, 2017 at his home in Hughesville. He was born on December 11, 1937 in Sedalia, MO, the son of Franklin P. and Dorothy (Smith) Lindsey, who preceded him in death.
On January 3, 2004 in Sedalia, he was united in marriage to Carmen Livingston, who survives of the home.
Frank graduated from Smith-Cotton High School. He worked for Zepher Manufacturing, Goodings Midway, Town & Country Shoes, the Hughesville School District, the City of Sedalia, and Securatas USA Security for ConAgra. He also farmed for many years.
In addition to his wife Carmen, survivors include his brother Frank Dale (Deanna) Lindsey of Sedalia; two step-children, Colleen Basnight of Hughesville and Keith Lybarger (Chelsey) of Sedalia; fifteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Annette (Conaway) Lindsey; sons Michael and Alan Lindsey, and his sister Sharon K Lindsey.
Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia, MO with Rev. Richard DeFord officiating, assisted by Rev. Elvis Durrill.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the chapel.
Burial will be at a later date at High Point Cemetery, Hughesville.
Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Gerken, Ed Sanders, Bill Killion, Paul James, Myron Bigler, Bill Wheeler, Roberta Williams, Arletta Nelson, Gary Dale, Martha Holland, Darrell Saunders, Jay Barnes, and Mary McCortney.
Memorial contributions may be made to Fitzgibbon Hospice in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
