Frances Mae King, 98, of Sedalia, MO, passed away Thursday, August 24th, 2017 at Sylvia G. Thompson Residence Center, Sedalia. She was born on September 15, 1918 in Cooper County, MO, the daughter of Emmett and Emma (Brown) Yeager, who preceded her in death.
On December 15, 1936 in Pettis County, MO, she was united in marriage to W. Russell King, who preceded her in death on December 3, 1979.
Frances attended rural schools and churches all of her life. She spent her entire married life in Pettis County on the farm, where she and her husband farmed registered angus cattle. She loved living on the farm and all of the duties associated with it, including having to help as a vet when a mother was in trouble with her newborn calf. She also worked for Kraft Foods in Marshall, MO, where she retired after 25 years of service. She was a member of Parkview Christian Church, Sedalia.
Besides her parents and husband, Frances was preceded in death by three brothers, Alfred, Elwood, and Wilfred Yeager, and two sisters, Nadene Rhoads and Hettie Holliday.
She is survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family, and many special friends.
Graveside service and burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at Miller's Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Rodney Brown officiating.
Family visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the service at the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Howard Aldredge, Leon Cumpton, Ronnie McCoy, and Carl Mittelhauser,
Memorial contributions are suggested to Parkview Christian Church, Sedalia.
Arrangements are under the direction of Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.
