Evelyn N. Cureton, 66, of Warsaw passed away November 30, 2017 at her home in Warsaw. She was born on November 15, 1951 in Bucklin, MO the daughter of George and Frances Quinn Apel Sr., who preceded her in death.
In 1973 in Bartsville, OK., she was united in marriage to Larry Cureton who preceded her in death on March 25, 1994.
She worked as a head supervisor at Lamy's Manufacturing for 25 years until they closed. was a member of the American Legion Post #217 Ladies Auxiliary in Warsaw. She enjoyed being at the lake, being outdoors, fishing, spending with her family and friends especially with her grandchildren.
Survivors include a daughter, Tammy Turner (Phil Schafer) of Sedalia; a step daughter, Tonya Viebrock (Gary) of Cole Camp; five grandchildren, Troy, Kindle, Tanita, Tory and Cory; three great grandchildren, Charles, Hunter and Wyatt; five brothers, Joseph Stimel of Bucklin, Paul Stimel of Huntsville, TX, George Apel of Sedalia, William Apel of LaMonte and Mike Apel of Victoria, TX; two sisters, Mary Phillips of Sedalia and Ellen McGreor of Ft. Ashby, WV.
In addition to her husband Larry, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Charles Turner, and her companion of 15 years, Charlie Davis; two brothers, John Stimel and Randy Apel.
Graveside service and burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 4, 2017 at Union Cemetery, Nelson, MO. with Rev. Dan Hankins officiating.
Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. Sunday, December 3, 2017 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.
Pallbearers will be Phil Schafer, Kevin Huff, Garrett Howe, and Joe Hendrix.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Post #217 Ladies Auxiliary in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
