Obituary For Eliza "Lee" Ross

Eliza "Lee" Ross, 83, of Sedalia, MO, passed away Saturday, August 6, 2022, at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia. She was born on May 8, 1939, in Kealakehe North Kailua-Kona, HI, the daughter of Charles Keawe Palau and Elizabeth Keanui (Benjamine) Palau, who preceded her in death.

On July 1, 1966, in Warrensburg, MO, she was united in marriage to Bobby Joe Ross, who preceded her in death on June 6, 2017.

Eliza was a 1957 graduate of Farrington High School in Honolulu, HI. She worked as a CNA at Georgetown Manor and Rest Haven Nursing Homes. Later, she worked for Rival Manufacturing and at Kelsey-Hayes until she retired in 2004. Eliza enjoyed fishing, gardening, going to casinos, and especially loved working in her yard. Eliza was known for her hard work ethics. She will be greatly missed, and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include four children, Ray Joseph (Kurt Kreissler) Ross, Debbie Sue (Nick) Hyde, Jimmy Dale Ross, and Elizabeth Loueva Dillon; four grandchildren, Kyle Patrick (Krystal) Hyde, Kayla Suzanne Ross, Khelcey Madison (Chad)West, and Emma Ray Dillon; two great-granddaughters, Rozlyne Marie Lee Chadwick, Hannah Myrissa Sanford; two great-grandsons, Gage Allen West and Gavin Eugene West; three step-children, Bobby Joe (Joy) Ross II, Charlene (Randy) Viebrock, and Darren (Phyllis) Ross; and a sister, Emmaline Madali of Honolulu, HI.

In addition to her parents and husband, Eliza was preceded in death by eight siblings, Anna Elizabeth Cera, Mary Pa'ahnna Agpoon, David Palau, George Palau, Flora Kealoha'aina Yanagihara, Margaret Pekelo, John Flores, Jr., and Norma Palau; and a step-daughter Betty Ann Mueller.

A celebration of life gathering for family and friends will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday, August 12, 2022, at Rea Funeral Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
