Elijah Johnson

Elijah Nells Johnson, 25, of Columbia, MO, formally Houstonia, MO, passed away March 12, 2021 at his home, after his battle with cancer. He was born on March 20, 1995 in Marshall, MO the son of Delbert Johnson (Amy) who survives of Houstonia, MO and Maryanne Forden, of Boonville, MO.

Elijah was a graduate of Pettis County RV High School. He enjoyed building computer's, gaming and wood working. Elijah also loved comedy, his cats and was musically talented.

Besides his parents, he is survived by his girlfriend, Samantha Knaebel, who resides in the home; and nine siblings, Quentin Johnson of Columbia, Duane (Brooke) Edwards of Virginia, Garrett Edwards of Sedalia, Camille (Brad) Killion of Hughesville, Clayton (Paige) Johnson, of Hughesville, and Katelyn Johnson of Houstonia.

Elijah is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, John Forden; maternal uncle, Jerry Forden; and paternal grandfather, Everette Johnson.

A Memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm on March 19, 2021 at Rea Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bill Cook officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time.

Honorary bearers will be Adam Dulaey, Michael Davis, Branden O'Neill, Omer Dee IV Greer, Harley Zane, and Allan Kovach.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Pettis County RV School District for technology upgrades, in care of Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.
