Elda Friedly

Elda Ruth Lena Louise Friedly, 87, of Sedalia passed away Friday, October 25, 2013 at her home. She was born on October 22, 1926, in Morgan County, MO, a daughter of Edwin Wehrman and Eva Witrock, who preceded her in death.

On December 28, 1957 in Independence, MO she was united in marriage to Clarence Friedly, who survives of the home.

Elda spent her time embroidering and hulling walnuts to give away to loved ones. She also enjoyed giving her roses away to friends and family.

She is survived by two children, Cindy Fox of Sedalia, MO and Lybbie Friedly-Carpenter of Centerview, MO; one sister, Shirley (Jim) Nichols of Olathe, KS; six grandchildren, Kimberly Mabry, Roger Green, Brittni Lancaster, Matthew Gray, Elizabeth Friedly and Mary Heather Friedly.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Barbara Green and two brothers, Leo and Richard Wehrman.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, October 29, 2013, at Abundant Harvest Worship Center, Sedalia, with Rev. Tony and Mary Kroeger officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.

Memorial contributions are suggested to The Sedalia Animal Shelter in care of Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.
