Edythe Louise Ward

Edythe Louise Ward, 95, of Sedalia, MO passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Sylvia G. Thompson Residence Center. She was born on January 3, 1926 in Sedalia, MO the daughter of Frank and Martha (Fiene) Barklage, who preceded her in death.

On September 15, 1950 in Sedalia, she was united in marriage to Phillip Paul Ward, Sr., who preceded her in death in May of 2010.

Edythe loved to sew and hand quilt. She attended New Hope Baptist Church, Sedalia.

She is survived by a son, Phillip Ward, Jr. of Sedalia; a daughter, Nadine Stilfield of Green Ridge; six grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.

Besides her parents and her husband, she is preceded in death by two sisters and five brothers.

A graveside memorial service and Inurnment will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, January 29, 2021 at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, MO.

Arrangements are under the direction of Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.
