Edwin Dean (Deanie) Jett

Edwin (Deanie) Dean Jett, 76, of Green Ridge, MO passed away Saturday, December 14, 2019 in Sedalia, MO. He was born on March 21, 1943 in Sedalia, the son of Edwin Harley and Mary (Kindle) Jett, who preceded him in death.

On April 3, 1965 in Green Ridge, he was united in marriage to Carolyn Easter, who survives of the home.

Deanie worked for the Sedalia Waste Water Management for 20 years retiring in 2005. After retirement he started driving cars for the Sedalia Auto Auction in La Monte. Deanie was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Mickey Mouse fan. He loved watching NASCAR. He enjoyed driving dirt track race cars since he was 15 years old. Deanie also enjoyed umpiring slow pitch mens and womens softball and coaching Khoury League softball. In his later years he was an avid A&E chanel watcher and especially love watching the "American Pickers" and "Live PD". Deanie's greatest love was spending time with his family and friends.

Besides his wife of fifty-four years, he is survived by one son, Michael Jett of Green Ridge; two daughters, Debbie Billings (John) of Green Ridge and Shelly Jett of Warsaw; one half-sister, Myrel Despot of Tennessee; four grandchildren, Christopher O'Brien (Samantha), Tia Crowe (Eddie), Deana Gulyayev (Dima), and Stacey Billings; nine great-grandchildren, Colin O'Brien, Alexis O’Brien, Trevan Merk, Bella Crowe, Bryson Gulyayev, Serenty Crowe, Harper Crowe, Liam Gulyayev, and Alyiah Crowe; one aunt, Kathy Martin (Corbett) of Sedalia; a sister-in-law, Helen Lefevers (Frank); multiple other nieces and nephews; and his dog, Lucky Boy whom he walked daily.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers in infancy, Thomas Harley Jett and Larry Wayne Jett; two sisters, Sandra G Beck and Mary Linda Jett; and one grandson, Daniel Lee O'Brien.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, December 19, 2019 at Green Ridge Cemetery, Green Ridge, MO with Rev. Jason Kindle, officiating.

Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia, MO.

Burial will be at Green Ridge Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be John Billings, Patrick Easter, Dima Gulyayev, Cory Durrill, Cameron Beck, and Troy Schneider

Memorial contributions may be made to the Sedalia Animal Shelter in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
