Edward Galen Browning

Edward Galen Browning, 55, of Augusta, KS, passed away on Friday, November 24, 2023, at his home in Sedalia, MO. He was born on March 5, 1968, in Topeka, KS, the son of Edward Lloyd Browning and Janey Michelle (Lemeke) Browning, who preceded him in death.

Galen was a 1986 graduate of Augusta High School. He was very athletic and played all the sports he could, including football, baseball, basketball, and wrestling. Galen excelled in baseball and received a scholarship to play college baseball at Concordia Junior College in Concordia, KS. Galen was a master carpenter. He worked in the construction industry and was able to build and fix most anything anyone needed. Galen enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, boating, camping, shooting, and he especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. He had a good sense of humor and was always smiling.

Survivors include two daughters, Catterina Riddle (David) of Sedalia and Kayla Browning of Wichita, KS; three grandchildren, Abel, Dawson, and David; a brother, Micheal Browning (Nichole) of St. Louis, MO; two nieces, Lexi and Carly Browning; and nephew Jake Browning.

A celebration of life gathering with family and friends will be held by the family during the spring of 2024 in Augusta, KS.
