Obituary For Earl Thomas Billingsley Sr.
Earl Thomas Billingsley Sr, 80, of Sedalia, MO passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at his home. He was born on May 4, 1941 in Sedalia, the son of William Charles Billingsley and Margaret T. (Burch) Billingsley, who preceded him in death.
On July 19, 1969 in Sedalia, he was united in marriage to Sharon (Sanders) Meyer who resides in Sedalia. On September 5, 1975 in Sedalia, he was united in marriage to Pauline Billingsley, who resides in Sedalia.
Earl served his county honorably in the United State Army from 1964 until1969 during the Vietnam War. He worked as a meat cutter for Swifts Foods, Central Missouri Foods, Wilson Foods, and Tyson Foods. Earl enjoyed dirt track racing, hunting, and fishing. He especially loved spending time with his kids, grandkids, and telling stories.
Survivors include a daughter, Jana Scott (Billy) of Sedalia; a son, Earl T. Billingsley II (Crystal) of Sedalia; three step-daughters, Lisa Schultz, Patty Smith, and Tammy Stewart; four grandchildren, Ashley Scott, Andrew Scott (Brandi), Alyn Scott (Grace) and Monty Billingsley; four great grandchildren, Allison, Zane, Kaitlyn, and Alyssa Scott; numerous step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles, Bobby and John Billingsley; a sister, Eva Mae Tabor; a granddaughter, Andrea Michele Scott; and a step-granddaughter, Shawna Schultz-Ivy.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 30, 2021, at Rea Funeral Chapel with Pastor Rusty Thomas officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel.
Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery, Sedalia, MO. Full military honor will be conducted by the U.S. Army and Sedalia VFW Post #2591
Pallbearers will be Alyn Scott, Andrew Scott, Tyler Utz, Joshua Anderson, Clint Wehrman, Jeff Ward, Monty Billingsley.
Honorary bearers will be Michael Scott and Bill Scott.
Memorial contributions may be made to Sedalia American Legion Post #642 in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
