Obituary For Earl L Townsend

Mr. Earl L. Townsend, 61, of Austell, GA, formerly of Sedalia, MO, passed away Friday, October 16, 2020 in Marietta, GA. He was born on March 23, 1959 in Sedalia, MO the son of Mr. William Wilder and Mrs. Vernice Jones-Jordan.

Earl graduated from Smith-Cotton High School in Sedalia, MO. Years later, he relocated to Marietta, GA. Earl was employed in the restaurant industry as a cook for many years. He was a true jokester, a lighthearted and caring person. Earl loved to spend time with his family and friends. He was loved by all who knew him and will greatly be missed.

Earl leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Mrs. Vernice Jones-Jordan; stepfather, Mr. Isaac Jordan, both of Sedalia, MO; two brothers, Mr. Anthony Townsend of Columbia, MO and Mr. Leonard Townsend of Columbia, MO; three sisters, Ms. Pamela Townsend of Columbia, MO, Ms. Nancy Black of Austell, GA and Min. Lela Jackson of Decatur, AL; a special companion, Ms. Jade Glass of Marietta, GA; one aunt, Mrs. Julia Griffin of Philadelphia, PA; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Earl was preceded in death by his father, Mr. William Wilder; and one sister, Ms. Amy Jordan.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 31, 2020 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia, MO with Minister Joyce Foster officiating.
