Dorothy Mae Sharp

Dorothy Mae Sharp, 59, of Sedalia, MO, passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at University Hospital in Columbia, MO. She was born on May 16, 1963, in Columbia, MO, the daughter of Eugene W. Lairmore and Patricia A. (Culbertson) Lairmore, who preceded her in death.

Dorothy worked as a nurse's aide at Rest Haven Nursing Home in Sedalia prior to becoming disabled. She enjoyed watching classic movies and playing games on her phone and Ipad.

She is survived by a son, Eugene Sharp (Anita) of Kansas City, MO; a daughter, Angela Sharp of Missouri; a sister, Patricia (Wayne) Sartain; a brother, James Lairmore, both of Sedalia; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four nephews, Benjamin Wilson (Brandy), J.T. Lairmore, Caleb Lairmore, and Blake Lairmore.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers William Lairmore and Charles "Chuck" Lairmore.

A private family graveside memorial service will be held at a later date at Lane Cemetery, Linn, MO.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
