Dorothy M. Shull

Dorothy Marie Shull, 70 of Sedalia passed away Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Bothwell Regional Health Center. She was born on December 31, 1943 in Sedalia a daughter of Rival Landon and Nettie Mae (Finnell) Payne, who preceded her in death.

Dorothy lived in Sedalia most of her life, where she was a loving mother, friend and wife. She loved playing cards and visiting with friends and family. Dorothy was a member of The Celebration Center, Sedalia.

On June 18, 1959 in Sedalia she was united in marriage to Charles Edward Lawson, who survives of Florence, MO. In Sedalia on March 26, 1977, she was united in marriage to Leon Shull who preceded her in death on December 15, 2005.

She is survived by six children, Cindy Parish of Syracuse, Mike Lawson of Sedalia, Rusty Lawson of Tipton, Sherry Hayes of Sedalia, Chris Lawson of Warsaw and Crystal Shull of Sedalia; two stepchildren, Sharrie and Terry Shull; many grandchildren; great grandchildren; her pet dog and best friend, Stewie.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Charles Lawson, Jr and her sister, Evelyn Ruth Moon.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, June 20, 2014 at The Celebration Center, Sedalia with Pastor Jim Downing officiating.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to service at The Celebration Center.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the family in care of Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.
