Obituary For Dorotha Blundell

Dorotha Blundell, 93, of Lincoln passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2018 at her home in Lincoln, MO. She was born on September 21, 1924 in Carrollton, MO the daughter of John Turner and Awilda Mae (McCoulagh) Dickson, who preceded her in death on February 24, 2013.

On February 2, 1943 in Kansas City, KS she was united in marriage to Harry L. Blundell, who preceded her in death on February 24, 2013.

Dorotha enjoyed living in the country, loved walking the hills with her husband Harry and mushroom hunting. She was a charter member of Martin Luther Lutheran Church, Lee's Summit, MO. She loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by three children, David Keith Blundell and his wife Sandra of Gallatin, MO, Harry Lester Blundell and his wife Kathi of Springdale, AR and James Luther Blundell and his wife JoAnna of Lincoln, MO; eight grandchildren, Patrick, Janice, Timothy, Roger, David, Shelley, Amy and Harrison; thirteen great grandchildren; two great great granddaughters; a special friend in her life, Jane Considine.

In addition to her husband Harry, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathleen McCubbins; five sisters, Florence Edwards, Pauline Dickson, Tess Eib, Elizabeth Farren, and Martha Ward; one brother, John Dickson, and twin brothers at infancy.

A graveside memorial service and burial will be held on a later date at Oak Hills Cemetery in Carrollton, MO.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Wheelchair Swing Fundraiser at Central Bank in Sedalia.

Arrangements are under the direction of Rea Funeral Chapel.
