In addition, Doris had a passion for Aikido and earned a 5th-degree black belt in her effort to master the art. She was an instructor for many years, leading and inspiring those who shared her passion.

She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Lefevers (Darren) of Sedalia as well as her best friend of over 45 years, Marsha Waldron (Dale) of Niceville, Florida. Doris is also survived by three grandchildren, Jennifer Campbell (Eric) of Freeport, Florida, Devin Lefevers, and Ryan Lefevers of Sedalia. She also leaves behind four great-grandchildren, Connor, Carson, McKenna, and Alexandra.

As per her request, Doris’ body was donated to Still University for the advancement of medical research.

A private gathering will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the American Parkinson’s Disease Foundation, Compassus Hospice, or Katy Manor Care Home in Pilot Grove.

I am deeply saddened by Doris's departure. She was someone who was truly larger than life and absolutely the toughest person I have ever known. I deeply admired her resilience and composure.
