Donna Suzanne Thorne

Donna Suzanne Thorne, 69, of Sedalia, MO, passed away at home on Wednesday, March 5, 2025. She was born on March 4, 1956, in St. Joseph, MO, the daughter of Claude LeRoy Lynch Jr. and Catherine Ora (Davis) Lynch, who preceded her in death.

On February 14, 1979, in Sedalia, MO, she was united in marriage to Emmett Thorne, who resides in the home.

Donna worked at Rival Manufacturing until they closed. She enjoyed crocheting and especially loved spending time with her family. Donna said that she wasn't a Kansas City Chiefs fan, she was a Patrick Mahomes fan.

Donna's love for her family was boundless. She is survived by her loving husband, Emmett Thorne, and their three children, Brandie Engles (Kurt) of Sedalia, Chuck Thorne (Kari) of Cole Camp, Maggie Thorne (James) of Sedalia. Her family also includes eleven grandchildren, three great-granddaughters, a brother, James Lynch (Kathy) of St. Joseph, MO, twin sister, Delores Geiler (John) of Sedalia, and sister, Catherine Boone (Daniel) of Sedalia. She was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Lynch.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at Rea Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Rusty Thomas officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel.

The burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery, Sedalia, MO.

Pallbearers will be Chuck Thorne, Joe Boone, John "Kurt" Engles, James Thorne, Jason Geiler, and Shane Lynch.

The honorary bearer will be Jerod Crooke.

Arrangements are under the direction of Rea Funeral Chapel.
