Donna Mccannon

Donna Sue McCannon, 67, of Sedalia, MO, passed away Sunday, April 23, 2017 at her home. She was born on July 24, 1949 in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of Howard Robertson and Maxine Peoples, who preceded her in death.

On January 7, 1983 in Warrensburg, MO, she was united in marriage to Galen "Joe" McCannon, who resides of the home.

Donna was a devoted wife to the love of her life, Joe. Her family always came first above anyone or anything else. She loved being with her grandkids and her great-granddaughter. Donna spent most of her time making others happy. She always went out of her way to put a smile on someone’s face and she never met a stranger. Donna was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan. She enjoyed going hunting with her husband and fishing as often as she could. Donna spent her past time writing poems, collecting butterfly and Betty Boop memorabilia, and keeping up with her friends and family on Facebook. Donna always said “life is good all the time; all the time life is good” and she always tried to live her life with a positive attitude. She will be missed by many.

In addition to her husband Joe, she is also survived by five daughters, Tammy Smith (Bob) of Titusville, Fl, Susan Kindle of Sedalia, Julie Appleton (Tony) of Parkville, MO, April Schnakenberg of Sherman, TX, and Nichole Ditzfeld of Ashland, MO; a brother, Rick Robertson (Gretchen) of Sedalia; eight grandchildren, Joey, Shyienne, Gavin, Elizabeth, Abbie, Addison, Madeline, and Owen, and a great granddaughter, Jocelyn.

In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by a brother, David Robertson and a daughter, Sandy.

A celebration of life gathering of family and friends will be held from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Friday, April 28, 2017 at Rea Funeral Chapel.
